GK Bayani Challenge 2008... Building the highway of peace. Volunteers from all over the country (even foreigners) worked hand in hand in building houses in different locations at Bukidnon & Lanao. This was taken last April 21-25, during Bayani Challenge 2008 held at Bukidnon and Lanao. Had a chance to work with Smart Communications Phils. during this activity. Smart Company together with Xavier University Civil students from Cagayan de Oro worked as volunteers for building one of the several houses sponsored by GK for the locals of Maramag, Bukidnon. It was really an awesome experience! People from all over the country and even from abroad worked hand in hand for the benefit of several families. Volunteers, you did a great job for making some of our Filipino brothers happy... May God continually give us a good heart to show kindness to others by showing our love through giving our time and resources for a better Philippines! God Bless us all... For the first time, after 40 years or so, the godfather of my wife, who is also my father in law's best friend, visited. It was a reunion filled with joy and laughter.
